The QDVSN has its origins in the establishment of the Queensland-based Domestic Violence Initiatives Program, which was the result of Recommendation 57 of Queensland’s Domestic Violence Taskforce Report, Beyond These Walls, which resulted in domestic violence legislation and a raft of policy and program initiatives, particularly regarding policing of domestic violence.

Domestic Violence Prevention Centre Gold Coast inc. are a non-government community based organisation providing specialist domestic violence support services. Established in 1992, we provide a wide range of programs to support women and their children affected by domestic violence.

The Ipswich Women’s Centre Against Domestic Violence (IWCADV) is dedicated to work towards the abolition of all forms of violence against women and children through the provision of services.

WAVSS offers women and children free information, support and counselling about domestic and family violence. WAVSS vision is to work towards the eradication of all forms of violence against women through the provision of services and continuing our community awareness campaigns and events.
